Philanthropy Spotlight: Greenline Service
This past semester the brothers of Epsilon Sigma participated in a park cleanup at our very own V&E Greenline, raised $600 for the Wings Foundation at West Cancer Center, and helped Chi Omega put on a car wash fundraiser for Girls.inc. Philanthropy Chair, Henry Hobbs Brown, speaks on how proud he is “of all of our brothers who have participated in community service, living our values of Love, Truth, and Honor. We look forward to hosting more philanthropy and community service events in the Fall.” Greenline was especially impactful to him, as Brown revitalized a volunteer effort we have held since the 90’s.
Academic Excellence: Highest GPA
The brothers of Epsilon Sigma are proud to hold the highest fraternal GPA for the fourth semester in a row! Scholarship Chair, Jacob Musicante, shares insight into Epsilon Sigma’s growth. “Our chapter of Sigma Nu has consistently led the way in academics throughout all three semesters of my term as scholarship chair. Each semester, we’ve earned the distinction of having the highest GPA among fraternities on campus. This sustained academic success is a testament to the accountability and support we foster within the chapter, whether it’s through organized study hours or simply encouraging one another to stay focused on our goals. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see our efforts pay off, and our commitment to academic excellence is something we continue to celebrate and strive for together.”
Honors and Awards: Brother Spotlight
Epsilon Sigma is proud to announce two of our brothers have received distinguished honors from Rhodes.
Graduating Brother Dylan Morris was recognized as a Hall of Fame Inductee and received the Estelle R. Cone award for his service in the Kinney Program. To him, Kinney is a way to give back to the community around him through fundraisers or events. Morris recently engaged in a Kinney-led service carnival for the Memphis community, which offered a variety of fun activities for children.
Brother Jude Shive was awarded as the Fraternity Man of the Year. Brother Shive recounts his feelings: “I was incredibly honored to be recognized as fraternity man of the year! Sigma Nu has been a great source of community on campus for me as it is for everyone involved. This award inspires me to continue investing into my fraternity. I have one more year with this group and I want to make it count.”
Congratulations to all of our brothers in this highly successful semester. We are excited to welcome the alumni of Epsilon Sigma back this fall for our Homecoming tailgate celebration on October 25th, 2025.
