Dear Prospective Brother,
Sigma Nu, our nation’s first “Honor” fraternity, was founded in 1869 at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, Virginia. Three cadets met on the campus of VMI and vowed to create a fraternity opposed to hazing traditions. Since 1934, our Chapter has initiated men at Rhodes College that uphold to the highest moral principles. The cynical, sarcastic, and constant complainer does not belong in this Fraternity. Sigma Nu recruits only honorable gentlemen.
At Sigma Nu, you will live by the founding principles of Love, Truth, and Honor. You will witness yourself grow into an adult and gain knowledge of the skills necessary to be successful after your collegiate years. Remember, a college education is our main goal. Because of our LEAD development program among other attributes, the chapter has been recognized by Rhodes College IFC as the Fraternity of the Year – four years in a row!
Sigma Nu is the best because we recruit the best. I invite you to join us during Rush to discover the Sigma Nu difference. You will understand how others in our Fraternity made the most simple, yet most important decision in their lives.
Fraternally,
Keith Harrison
Commander, Epsilon Sigma Chapter
