Rev. C. Allen Cooke
Rev. C. Allen Cooke was born in Memphis to parents H. Brent and Dorothy A. Cooke. He was raised in Memphis and attended Rhodes College, where he was a Rotary Harris Scholar and president of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He went to the Episcopal Divinity School in Boston, dedicating his life to more than 60 years as an Episcopal priest in Tennessee and Alabama. He married Sara Dee Goodloe. Allen loved all people, made friends wherever he went, and ministered to the sick and elderly. A lifelong Vols fan above all else, Allen taught each of his grandchildren his favorite “Go Vols!” cheer. Survivors include his wife, a daughter, and two sons.
